BINGO's published Victorian gate rates (from 1 July 2026)
BINGO publishes tipping prices for its Victorian recycling centres, which is unusual in this market. The list effective 1 July 2026 prices mixed waste at $300 per tonne excluding GST at Braeside and West Melbourne, with separate per-tonne rates for insulation, polystyrene and coolroom panels and per-unit charges for tyres, mattresses and stumps. These are gate rates for loads you bring in, not bin collection prices; collection is quoted.
Who Bingo Industries is — and where it's strong
Bingo Industries, founded in 2005 and taken private in 2021, built its name in building and demolition (B&D) waste across Sydney and Melbourne — skip bins, resource recovery centres, and high diversion rates on construction streams. It also runs commercial collections, but its centre of gravity is C&D. That matters for pricing: if your need is construction waste in a Bingo-serviced corridor, its vertically-integrated recovery network can produce sharp rates. If your need is a couple of general waste bins behind a shop, an independent operator is often sharper.

Skip pricing in Victoria is levy-driven: every tonne of mixed waste to landfill carries the $169.79/tonne metro levy (2025–26), so the waste CLASS you declare moves the price more than the bin size. What to check before accepting a Bingo quote
- Weight allowances. Skip quotes include a tonnage cap; excess weight is billed per tonne on top. On heavy streams (soil, concrete) the excess rate matters more than the headline price.
- Waste classification. Declaring mixed C&D when your load is mostly clean concrete means paying levy you didn't need to pay. Separate streams where volume justifies it.
- Hire duration. Most skip quotes include 5–7 days; longer sits attract daily rental.
- Contract terms on commercial bins. Ongoing collection agreements carry the same rollover clauses and annual price reviews as any major provider — see the contract red flags before signing.
How to pay less
- Get the waste class right first — separation beats negotiation on C&D streams.
